Palembang Polrestabes Asks Residents To Take 12 Missing Motorcycles
PALEMBANG - Polrestabes Palembang, South Sumatra, is securing 12 motorbikes that were lost from the actions of a gang of thieves on Friday (25/7), to be returned to their owners who were victims of motor vehicle theft.
"They (the perpetrators) were arrested along with 12 motorbikes suspected of being stolen at a workshop in the Sukabangun area of Palembang without a fight, on Friday, July 25, 2025," said Deputy Polrestabes Palembang AKBP Aditya Kurniawan in Palembang, Saturday.
He said his party had arrested a gang of motorcycle thieves consisting of two suspects, namely Dimas Tri Setiawan (26) and Sutrisno (22) residents of PMD Street, Sukodadi Village, Sukarami District, Palembang.

He conveyed that the victims of motor vehicle theft could come to the Palembang Police Headquarters to see firsthand the secured vehicle.
Meanwhile, he said, his party was also examining the perpetrators who were suspected of acting as collectors of motorcycle theft in Palembang.
"The police are still investigating this case, and arresting other gangs," he said.
He said the two perpetrators were suspected of being collectors of 40 crime scenes (TKP) of motorcycle theft in Palembang.
"There are 40 crime scenes recorded and three police reports. We have pocketed the main perpetrators of the identity and will hunt them down," he said.
