The Ministry Of Energy And Mineral Resources Gathers Experts To Carry Out The One Price Elpiji Policy

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Oil and Gas of the Earth held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Implementation of the One Price Elpiji Policy by presenting experts consisting of academics, researchers and consumer institutions.

Acting (Plt) Director of Business Development Hilir Migas Mirza Mahendra said that the Government's efforts to realize energy justice continue to be carried out, including through the 3 kg LPG policy aimed at target household groups, micro-target businesses, target fishermen and target farmers.

However, in its implementation, there are still various challenges at the regional level which have a direct impact on the availability and affordability and high prices.

Some of the issues that arise that we can see today, the sale of 3 kg LPG in the community is above the highest retail price (HET) set by the local government. The high HET disparity between regions is quite large. So through this FGD, I invite ladies who represent academics, researchers and consumers to discuss and convey some of the problems and obstacles that exist in the plan to implement the One Price LPG policy," said Mirza, Friday, July 25.

Mirza explained that the plan to uniform the price of 3 kg LPG cylinders through the One Price LPG policy is expected to be able to equalize prices at the final consumer level, as well as minimize sales practices above HET so that it can increase the guarantee of the availability and distribution of certain domestic LPGs for target households, micro-target businesses, target fishermen, and target farmers.

"We appreciate the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for inviting academics to provide suggestions and input before the policy is implemented. This shows the Government's strong commitment to implementing further evidence-based policies," said Dr. Andi Nur Bau Massepe as one of the sources from UNHAS.

Adapun saran dan masukan dari narasumber diantaranya; perlu dipastikan keakuratan data sebelum pemerintah mengeksekusi kebijakan terkait batasan penggunaan elpiji 3 kg untuk golongan masyarakat yang berhak.

Selain itu, kuota per konsumen juga perlu disesuaikan dengan kewajaran.

Selanjutnya kebijakan yang akan diterapkan harus berbasiskan pada penelitian dan data yang akurat.

Masukan-masukan tersebut akan menjadi bahan pertimbangan saat pemerintah merumuskan kebijakan terkait implementasi elpiji 3 kg Satu Harga.

As for suggestions and input from sources, including; it is necessary to ensure the accuracy of the data before the government executes policies related to the limitation of using 3 kg LPG for eligible groups of people.

In addition, the quota per consumer also needs to be adjusted to reasonableness.

Furthermore, the policies to be implemented must be based on accurate research and data.

These inputs will be taken into consideration when the government formulates policies related to the implementation of the 3 kg One Price LPG.
