Southwest Plane Almost Collision With Another Plane, Manuver Pilot In Air
JAKARTA - Two flight attendants on the Southwest Airlines departing from facta, California, United States (US), were injured after the pilot took maneuvers to avoid another plane while taking off.
Southwest 1496 flights fell sharply nearly 500 feet, according to the aviation tracking website.
This event marks the second time in a week a US commercial jet has been forced to make sudden flight maneuvers to avoid potential air collisions.
Airlines and the Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) said Southwest pilots took action after receiving a cockpit warning about other aircraft traffic being too close.
The Boeing 737 Southwest aircraft continued their journey to Las Vegas, where the plane landed without a problem.
The plane avoided by Southwest flights was not immediately identified. The FAA is still investigating.
Two flight attendants were treated for injuries, the airline said, without providing further details.

No passengers immediately reported injuries, according to Southwest. However, a passenger told Fox News Digital the sharp decline in flights sparked panic on the plane.
"It was terrible. We really thought we were going to crash into the plane," Caitlin Burdi said in an interview.
"(After the incident) the pilot started the (intercom), and he told us we were close to colliding with another plane," he continued.
According to Southwest's statement, the incident began when its crew responded to two on-air traffic warnings as it took off from Hollywood Airport in northern Los Angeles.
This condition requires pilots to maneuver up and down flights to comply with the warning.
