Agus Gumiwang Signs STARGAZER Cartenz X Day After Launch, Achieves Hyundai's Efforts
JAKARTA - GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 officially opened on July 24, 2025. In the 32nd edition of the largest automotive exhibition in Indonesia, PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) is here to help encourage the progress of the Indonesian automotive industry.
Hyundai marked its participation at GIIAS 2025 with the launch of STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X, introduced as the Real Indonesian Car. The day after its launch, this vehicle immediately received appreciation from the government through the visit of Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Minister of Industry (Menperin) of the Republic of Indonesia, to the Hyundai booth located at Hall 2 Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE), BSD City.
During his visit, the Minister of Industry signed the STARGAZER Cartenz X unit as a form of appreciation and support for strengthening the Indonesian automotive industry. STARGAZER Cartenz will also be exported and developed according to global market needs, affirming Hyundai's commitment and Indonesia's strategic role as an international standard production center.
Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita as Minister of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia signed STARGAZER Cartenz X the day after its launch at GIIAS 2025, accompanied by Ju Hun Lee as President Director of Hyundai Motors Indonesia, Fransiscus Soerjopranoto as Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motors Indonesia, Setia Diarta as Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment, and Electronics (ILMATE) Ministry of Industry, and Yohannes Nangoi as General Chair of GAIKINDO.
During the visit, Agus Gumiwang was accompanied by Ju Hun Lee, President Director of Hyundai Motors Indonesia, and Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of Hyundai Motors Indonesia. On this occasion, Ju Hun Lee explained various advanced technologies embedded in Hyundai's latest models, ranging from Shift by Wire (SBW), Built-in Navigation, to Hyundai SmartSense active security features, such as Blind Spot View Monitor (BVM), Surround View Monitor (SVM), and Rear & Front Parking Distance Warning which have been designed to answer driving challenges on Indonesian roads.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang also showed his enthusiasm for the design and features of STARGAZER Cartenz and STARGAZER Cartenz X. He tried to directly comfort the STARGAZER Cartenz X interior which offers a spacious cabin room, a container seat configuration, and premium nuances that have been adapted to the needs of the Indonesian people.
Ju Hun Lee positively welcomed the appreciation given by the government for Hyundai's commitment to developing the Indonesian automotive industry.
