GIS Supply Needs 29,990 Tons Of Cement For Bocimi Toll Road Construction

JAKARTA - The Indonesian government continues the Bocimi Toll Road (Bogor-Ciawi-Sukabumi) project which is currently entering the construction of Section 3 (Cibadak "West Sukabumi") along 13.7 km. The presence of the Bocimi Toll Road plays an important role in supporting increased connectivity towards southern West Java, which is rich in natural tourism potential.

PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) Trurut supports the construction of the Bocimi Section 3 Toll Road by supplying cement to the National Strategic Project. From December 2024 to June 2025, GIS has supplied 29,990 tons of cement out of a total of 60,000 tons of cement to be supplied until the end of the project.

The Bocimi Section 3 Toll Road will be an alternative logistics route to and from Sukabumi so as to reduce congestion on national roads, as well as shorten the travel time from Jakarta which was originally only 7 hours to only 2 hours. Access to tourist destinations is also easier and is expected to encourage the regional economy and the welfare of local communities.

SIG's Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni said, as a strategic infrastructure to accelerate regional economic growth, the presence of the Bocimi Toll Road will support the smooth mobility of the community and goods, as well as advance the tourism sector in South West Java, especially Sukabumi.

In addition to being used in the manufacture of concrete for the Bocimi Toll Road pavement, UltraPro cement supplied by SIG is also used in the manufacture of precast concrete (precast), in the form of a pile or integer-shaped stake with a cavity in the middle which serves as the foundation to keep construction stable. UltraPro is also used in the construction of a girder or horizontal beam, a construction component that functions as the main support of the load to ensure construction strength.

Vita Mahreyni added that the GIS product provides added value in construction construction and final results for optimal strength. UltraPro is suitable for construction of toll roads, dams, airplane runways, and other building structures that require strong initial and final pressure.
