Fans Want The Name Of Birmingham Airport To Be Replaced With The Name Ozzy Osbourne

JAKARTA - Fans asked for the name Birmingham Airport to be replaced under the name Ozzy Osbourne 'vocalist Black Sabbath who died at his residence in Birmingham on Tuesday, July 22.

The requests of fans were channeled through a petition filed by Dan Hudson, one of the hosts of the podcast A Gay And A Nongay, on the change.org page.

Not without reason, the petition was created to honor Osbourne as the native son of Birmingham who made history in rock music and heavy metal.

Ozzy Osbourne is the most important musician ever to come from Birmingham. He gained fame as the main vocalist of the rock band pioneer Black Sabbath, which created the heavy metal genre," reads the explanation from the petition.

Ozzy's influence on music and culture is undeniable. Naming our international airport with its name would be a proper tribute to his career and outstanding contribution to the world of art.

In filing this petition, Dan Hudson took several cases in Great Britain, where the name of the local famous figure was used as the airport.

"Other airports in Great Britain are named after their famous children (J George Best International Airport in Belfast, John Lennon Airport in Liverpool)," he said. "So it is appropriate for us to do this in Birmingham, in honor of Ozzy."

Together, we can celebrate Ozzy Osbourne's legacy and the extraordinary influence our city has on the world stage, thanks to him.
