Realizing Quality Health, Dexa Medica Presents Free Triangle Check Critic Disease Screening In Karawang

JAKARTA - Dexa Medica has again presented a free Health screening program for the Cek Triangle, which this time reached the community at Karangpawitan Square, Karawang, Sunday, July 20. More than half of the screening participants were detected as having a high risk of chronic diseases" findings that show the importance of health awareness from an early age, even at productive age.

This activity succeeded in attracting 520 participants who took part in health screening including blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar at any time. Of these, 301 participants (57.88 percent) are included in the high risk category, namely having abnormal value at least one check parameter.

From the results of screening, high blood pressure (140/90 mmHg) was recorded as the most finding with 185 cases, followed by high cholesterol (199 mg/dL) in 139 participants, and 100 participants (23.6%) were detected as having high blood sugar (130 mg/dL).

According to the General Doctor of the Bayukarta Hospital in Karawang, dr. Hetty Marpaung found that high blood sugar at a young age needs to be watched out for.

From the results of the examination, I found several young participants with high blood sugar. This can be caused by eating, lack of exercise, and unhealthy lifestyles. It could also be due to hereditary factors. To be more accurate, they need to check fasting blood sugar, two hours after eating, and HbA1c," explained dr. Hetty.

He also emphasized the importance of routine screening. "Ideally, medical checks are carried out every six months to find out our health condition from an early age," he said.
