Jakarta DPD Member Fahira Idris Asks The Government To Socialize The Id Prayer Guide
JAKARTA - The moment of Eid al-Fitr prayers in congregation is the most awaited activity for the Muslim community as a sign of the arrival of the 'victory day' after a full month of observing the fast of Ramadan. However, the implementation of the Id prayers cannot be carried out freely because it is obliged to carry out various health protocol rules.
DPD RI member Fahira Idris assessed that the government needs to re-socialize the Idul Fitri guide massively to the public even though this year is the second time Indonesia has celebrated Eid during the pandemic.
"This is so that the Eid Al-Fitr prayers are in line with Islamic law and health protocols. This is to prevent the spread and protect all people from COVID-19," Fahira said, Friday, May 7.
According to the senator from DKI Jakarta, the government must formulate various guidelines for the implementation of Eid prayers both in mosques and in open fields, especially for areas that are in a zone with a low risk of transmission. This is so that the implementation of the worship takes place solemnly.
"Of course, it still refers to the guidelines issued by the COVID-19 Handling Task Force, especially regarding risk zoning," Fahira said.
In addition, he continued, the guidelines issued by the local government must formulate in detail the various health protocols that must be implemented. For example, the distance between congregations, the capacity of the congregation if it is held at the mosque, and various other suggestions, such as the obligation to bring your own prayer equipment.
Fahira said that this information must reach the public so that they can prepare themselves as best they can before participating in the Eid prayer series in congregation.
Local governments also need to involve community participation so that implementation in the field runs well and smoothly.
"Form a team and go down directly to community nodes to disseminate guidelines and discuss formulating plans so that Eid prayers in congregation run smoothly and prioritize health protocols," said Fahira Idris.
