Bulungan Police Narcotics Unit Reveals 3 Kilograms Of Methamphetamine Case, Allegedly From Malaysia

TANJUNG SELOR - Bulungan Police Narcotics Unit, North Kalimantan (Kaltara) managed to uncover a drug case of about 3 kilograms (kg) on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 19.30 WITA.

Bulungan Police Chief Kombes Pol Rofiko Yunianto through the Head of Ops Kompol Kemas Zein Errie Limantara said that during the operation the police managed to arrest a suspect named RA (34) on Jalan Jambu, Tanjung Selor Hilir Village, Tanjung Selor District, Bulungan Regency.

"When questioned, the police found evidence in the form of a brown cardboard box containing 3 plastics that read "Prince Durian" which allegedly contained methamphetamine, as well as 1 Vivo Y27 cellphone," said column Zein Errie, Thursday (24/7/2025).

Errie explained that the chronology of the arrest of suspect RA was carried out after officers received information from the public about someone suspected of carrying methamphetamine on Jalan Jambu, Tanjung Selor, Bulungan Regency.

"After a search and interrogation, officers found evidence in a plastic bag containing a brown cardboard box with methamphetamine in it," he explained.

He emphasized that the suspect and evidence had been secured, the police were still hunting for the owner of the illicit goods.

"The results of the investigation of the suspect admitted that he brought methamphetamine-type narcotics sent from Tawau (Malaysia) by someone named Mr. X. Currently, RA has been secured by officers and charged with Article 114 (2) in conjunction with 112 (2) of Law 35 of 2009 on Narcotics with the threat of the death penalty," he concluded.
