Man In Buleleng Kills Elderly, Robbs Rp80 Million In Cash And Gold
Buleleng Police, Bali, arrested a man with the initials SY (27), the perpetrator of the murder of an elderly woman named Ketut Parmi (73).
Victim Ketut Parmi was found dead at his home in Selat Village, Sukasada District, on Thursday (17/7) early morning.
Buleleng Police Chief AKBP Ida Bagus Widwan Sutadi said the perpetrator of the murder was a part-time worker in the victim's clove garden.
"This victim has a clove garden. Meanwhile, the perpetrator, he worked part-time in the victim's garden," said AKBP Widwan, Thursday, July 24.

The perpetrator was found to have entered the victim's house but the action was caught. At that time, the perpetrator killed the victim.
"The perpetrator then covered the victim's face with cloth and pillows, then took the victim's valuables from inside the safe," he added.
The items taken by the perpetrators were in the form of gold and Rp80 million in cash.
At that time, the victim's family initially did not report this case because it was in a mourning atmosphere. But because they were suspicious because their belongings were lost, the family finally reported it to the Buleleng Police.
"They suspect there are irregularities because the victim was previously in good health. After the report came in, we immediately moved quickly and carried out an investigation. We immediately secured the perpetrator after an intensive investigation," he explained.
In investigating this case, the police uncovered the victim's grave for an autopsy.
"Investigations are carried out using the scientific crime investigation method," said AKBP Widwan.
The perpetrator SY was charged with Article 365 Paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code concerning violent theft that resulted in death, with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.
The perpetrator SY was also charged with Article 363 Paragraph (3) of the Criminal Code concerning theft by weight.
