Wuling Cortez Darion Officially Launches At GIIAS 2025, Present In EV And PHEV Versions

JAKARTA Wuling Motors again shows its innovation at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) by introducing Cortez Darion, the latest MPV which is present in two electrification options: EV (Electric Vehicle) and PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle).

Interestingly, this latest model will not only be marketed in Indonesia, but also produced locally at the Wuling factory located in Cikarang, West Java. This step confirms Wuling's commitment to supporting environmentally friendly mobility while strengthening Indonesia's role as a strategic production base in the region.

Marketing Operation Director of Wuling Motors, Ricky Christian, revealed that the launch of Cortez Darion was also part of Wuling's 8th birthday celebration in Indonesia. "We present this latestMPV with the spirit of 'Building in Indonesia for you'. The name Darion itself is inspired by the phrase From Indonesia', and also means gifts in Greek," he said during the launch at ICE BSD, Wednesday, July 23.

The background of the presence of Wuling Cortez Darion is strengthened by the value of togetherness that is deeply inherent in Indonesian culture. Traveling with family is not just a journey, but is full of meaning and stories at every step. On this basis, Wuling took the initiative to present an MPV based on renewable energy designed for traveling with family. Cortez Darion's presence continued Wuling's work in the MPV segment and is now being brought to the next level through electrification innovation.
