Overcoming Peak Congestion, 130 Street Vendors At Cisarua Market In Bogor Are Ordered
A total of 130 street vendors (PKL) in the Cisarua Market area, Bogor Regency, were brought under control by the joint apparatus from the Satpol PP, TNI, and Polri on Thursday, July 24. Control is carried out because the presence of street vendors is considered to often cause severe congestion on the Puncak tourist route.
Control began in the morning targeting street vendors selling along irrigation roads and canals around Cisarua Market. Officers dismantled all stalls and semi-permanent buildings belonging to traders occupying the shoulder of the road illegally.
Some traders looked panicked and rushed to pack their merchandise when they learned of the control. They were assisted by Satpol PP officers to immediately vacate the location.
However, the control process was stopped due to an electrical short incident on the main PLN network which had not been turned off. Officers also temporarily suspended control activities while waiting for PLN officers to come to cut off the problem of electricity.
Head of Bogor Regency Satpol PP Cecep Imam Nagarasid said the control was carried out in order to restore the function of the damaged roads due to the presence of hundreds of street vendors.
