These Are Themes And Logos For The Official Anniversary Of The Republic Of Indonesia, The Palace Explains Its Meaning

JAKARTA Ahead of the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the government raised the theme United Sovereign, Prosperous People, Advanced Indonesia as a reflection of the direction of national development that prioritizes unity, prosperity, and sustainable progress.

Deputy for Dissemination and Information Media of the Presidential Communication Office, Noudhy Valdryno, explained that this theme is not only a ceremonial motto, but contains a strategic meaning regarding the importance of social solidarity and national unity as the basis for building the nation's future.

He said that the phrase 'United Sovereign' contains a spirit of harmony and mutual cooperation in everyday life. According to him, only through real unity, not symbolic, Indonesia can defend sovereignty in various aspects, both politics, economy, social, and culture.

Meanwhile, the meaning of the 'Welfare People' in this theme indicates the commitment of President Prabowo Subianto's government to fight for the basic rights of the people through real programs.

"One of them is the Free Nutrition Food program which aims to ensure that Indonesian children get nutritional intake according to their needs. In addition, the government also initiated public schools as alternative educational facilities for people who have been marginalized from formal education systems," he explained, Thursday, July 24.

This series of programs is part of the 8 Asta Cita, 17 national priority programs, and 8 Fast Best Result Programs which are a reference in future government work. The government wants to ensure that development does not only occur in big cities, but also reaches remote areas fairly and evenly.

The phrase 'Indonesia Maju' in the theme describes the collective aspirations for Indonesia to become a country that not only grows economically, but is also globally competitive.

Ryno said that the progress in question is not limited to infrastructure development or increasing GDP, but rather creating space and opportunities for all citizens to develop, obtain quality education, and live with pride to be part of the Indonesian nation.

In order to strengthen this spirit, the government also launched the official logo of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. This logo consists of three main elements: a core form that symbolizes unity and sovereignty, a line of manifestations that represent a journey together towards prosperity, as well as a complete form that illustrates the integration of all elements of the nation to achieve joint progress.

The logo is the result of collaborative work between the National Committee for the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia which is coordinated by the Ministry of State Secretariat, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, and the Association of Indonesian Graphic Designers (ADGI). Of the 245 works curated, the design of Bram Patria Yoshugi was finally chosen directly by President Prabowo because it was considered the strongest in terms of meaning and visual.

Ryno added that this warning is also a momentum to strengthen public awareness of the importance of information literacy. He reminded that there is a threat of disinformation, slander, and hatred that has the potential to damage the spirit of unity if it is not faced with maturity and accuracy. Therefore, people are invited to be wiser in managing information and maintaining a digital space to stay healthy.

Through the theme and symbol of the commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, the government hopes that all elements of the nation can work together to continue the struggle towards a more just, prosperous, and dignified Indonesia. The momentum of eight decades of independence is not just a celebration, but a reflection point to move together to a better future.
