Gubsu Edy Angry At Jokowi's Son-in-Law Bobby Nasution: There Is A Shouting That The Mayor Of Medan Doesn't Know
MEDAN - The Governor of North Sumatra (Gubsu) Edy Rahmayadi expressed his anger at the Mayor of Medan Bobby Nasution. Governor Edy's anger was triggered by the problem of quarantine for Indonesian citizens in North Sumatra. Previously, Bobby Nasution, who is also the son-in-law of President Joko Widodo, admitted he was disappointed because the Pemko Medan was not involved in determining the quarantine location for Indonesian citizens in Medan City.
Governor Edy Rahmayadi responded to Bobby Nasution's complaint. Edy Rahmayadi touched on those who questioned this a lot in the social media timelines.
"There are people screaming on social media, the mayor does not know. God knows best, but if people ask to be told one by one he will be more resigned," said Edy Rahmayadi as quoted by ERA.id, Thursday, May 6.
The Governor of Edy spoke about the people who must be devout. The governor of North Sumatra immediately asked the Medan government to attend the meeting to determine the location of the quarantine.
"Someone came from Medan (Pemko Medan) who was present at the meeting? You (Syamsul) tell it, don't tell him you don't know anymore. I became angry with me for a long time," said Edy.
He hopes that all parties can work together in dealing with Covid-19, if there is something wrong, he hopes that it can be notified directly, not through social media.
Governor Edy emphasized that it doesn't matter who he is, if he can't be invited to cooperate and join hands. He asked to be notified in person if something was wrong.
"I have nothing to do with whoever he is, don't make me angry. If I get angry it doesn't matter who I am. I have handled Covid-19 for 1 year and 5 months. We have to hold hands, coordinate well," he said.
Regarding the agreed quarantine location for Indonesian citizens at PTPN III, Sei Karang, Deli Serdang, North Sumatra.
"I asked yesterday to be placed in PTP III. Why there, because in the hotel there will come people joking with those who are quarantined," he explained.
Previously, Bobby Nasution protested to Edy about the quarantine location for Indonesian citizens who had just arrived from abroad. Bobby said the Provincial Government determined the quarantine location for Indonesian citizens who had just arrived from abroad in Medan, but did not coordinate with him.
Bobby said that the quarantine locations for Indonesian citizens were spread across 5 hotels and several offices belonging to the North Sumatra Provincial Government in Medan. According to Bobby, the North Sumatra Provincial Government should have informed the Medan Government about the location of the quarantine.
