Honda STEP WGN E: HEV Officially Marketed In GIIAS, Could Be An Ideal Choice Of Modern Family

JAKARTA - PT Honda Prospect Motor officially launched STEP WGN e:HEV, an Upper MPV with hybrid technology, which was introduced at a press conference at the Honda booth, July 23, 2025, at the GIIAS 2025 event.

Honda STEP WGN e:HEV is designed as a modern family car solution in the Upper MPV segment. Supported by Honda's smart hybrid system, the model connects efficient electric motors with powered gasoline engines, resulting in an optimal pairing between performance and efficiency.

This technology presents Honda's fun driving experience, as well as being efficient in fuel consumption and more environmentally friendly. This combination makes it an ideal choice for modern families who want functional vehicles for various activities, but remain comfortable to drive every day.

Different from the previous version which was only displayed as a preview, the Honda STEP WGN e: HEV which was present at GIIAS 2025 is a mass production model officially marketed in Indonesia.

Previously, this model had been introduced at GIIAS 2024 as well as in a series of roadshows to various major cities in Indonesia, where they received positive responses from consumers. In addition to introducing the design and technology, this activity is also a means to collect input from consumers, especially regarding price expectations.

President Director of PT Honda Prospect Motor Shugo Watanabe, said that for more than 76 years, Honda has consistently developed various technologies to answer consumer needs around the world, including in Indonesia.

"At GIIAS 2025, we present a line of hybrid products that is increasingly complete as part of Honda's commitment to strengthening electrification roadmaps relevant to the lifestyle and needs of Indonesian families," he said, at the launch, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Wednesday, July 23.

The latest model that is now officially launched is not only present with various advantages in terms of design, convenience, and technology, but is also offered at a price of IDR 629 million (the price of OTR Jakarta).

He further said that the development of environmentally friendly machines has been part of Honda's long journey in responding to the challenges of creating more efficient and more environmentally friendly machines, without compromise on Honda's performance or driving pleasure.

"This is what distinguishes Honda's hybrid from others, an environmentally friendly technology designed for those who still love the sensation of driving," he said.
