To Be Fast, The Regional Head Elections Are Immediately Thrown Away? Cak Imin: The Aja Center That Appoints!
JAKARTA - Chairman of the DPP National Awakening Party Abdul Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin proposed to President Prabowo Subianto that regional heads be appointed centrally or elected by the DPRD.
"If it is not appointed by the center, the maximum regional head election is chosen by the DPRD throughout the country," said Cak Imin at the 27th PKB Harlah event in Jakarta, Wednesday, July 23 evening.
Cak Imin proposed this as one of the steps to improve national political governance.
He further explained that the proposal was based on the experience of a number of regional heads who said they had to experience a fairly slow consolidation due to the too long political process.
"This is quite a challenging proposal because many have refused, but PKB is determined. The goal is one, the effectiveness and acceleration of development without twists and turns in one stage of democracy," he said.
Meanwhile, regarding the issue of the Constitutional Court's decision which regulates the separation of national and regional elections, he acknowledged that the PKB had only approved the postponement of the DPRD election.
"From that decision, it was approved by friends to postpone the DPRD election. Others did not agree," he said.
