Danamon Syariah Announces Collaboration With The PP Muhammadiyah Bibliography And Information Council
JAKARTA - PT Bank Danamon Indonesia Tbk (Danamon), through the Sharia Business Unit (Danamon Syariah), and Muhammadiyah Central Leaders, through the Pustaka and Information Council, Muhammadiyah Central Leadership (MPI PP Muhammadiyah), today announced cooperation between the two organizations, with the aim of supporting digitalization within Muhammadiyah.
In supporting the mandate of MPI PP Muhammadiyah as the driver of Muhammadiyah's digital transformation, Danamon Syariah has become an exclusive official banking partner that provides digital financial solutions in the Muhammadiyah digital ecosystem, SatuMu.
The collaboration between Danamon Syariah and MPI Muhammadiyah was marked by the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two at the Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah Headquarters, on Wednesday, July 23.
The signing was carried out between Herry Hykmanto, Director of Sharia & Sustainability Finance Danamon and Prof. Dr. Muchlas, M.T., Chairman of MPI PP Muhammadiyah, witnessed by Prof. Dr. H. Haedar Nashir, M.Si., General Chairperson of Muhammadiyah Central Leadership, D. Ejima, President Director of Danamon, and Prof. Dr. Dadang Kahmad, M.Si., Chairman of Muhammadiyah Central Leadership.
Herry Hykmanto, Director of Sharia & Sustainability Finance Danamon, explained that since 2012, Danamon Syariah has established a positive partnership with Muhammadiyah and presents holistic, integrated, and sharia-based financial solutions.
"Through cooperation with the Muhammadiyah Central Executive MPI, we hope this collaboration can be a catalyst for accelerating financial inclusion while increasing digital-based financial literacy and inclusion within Muhammadiyah," he explained, in a written statement.
Prof. Dr. Muchlas, MT, Chairman of MPI PP Muhammadiyah, explained that digital transformation is not just an adoption of technology, this is a way of civilization to strengthen Muhammadiyah's identity as a professional modern Islamic movement and serve the people with advantages.
The collaboration between Danamon Syariah and Muhammadiyah is part of a long journey of cooperation between the two organizations. Danamon Syariah will provide a variety of financial solutions through SatuMU, including account opening through the D-Bank Pro application, payment of contributions and bills, payment of zakat, infaq, shadaqah, and waqf (ZISWAF) Institutions Zakat Infaq and Shadaqah Muhammadiyah (Lazismu), Hajj and Umrah registration, automotive to multipurpose financing from Adira Finance and Mandala Finance, and other financial solutions, which will be accessible through the MASA application, namely digital applications dealing with users (user-facing) efficiently, safely, and in accordance with sharia principles.
