Diogo Jota's Wife Uploads Touching Respect On Wedding Anniversary

JAKARTA - The wife of the late Liverpool striker Diogo Jota, Route Cardoso, uploaded a touching message on her personal Instagram exactly one month after their wedding day.

In a post on her first Instagram since she lost her husband, she uploaded three photos of their marriage on June 22, 2025 in Porto.

"One month. We will not be separated by death. Forever," wrote Route Cardoso accompanying the upload.

As is known, Jota died with her brother, Andre Silva in a car accident on July 3, 2025 near Zamora, Spain, just weeks after marrying Route Cardoso, the mother of their three children.

Spain's Civil Guard confirmed to ESPN earlier this week that expert reports of the crash were in the process of being completed by a traffic unit before being handed over to local courts.
