Prabowo Is Comfortable In The Midst Of PKB, Alludes To Gus Dur

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto admits that he is comfortable in the midst of PKB cadres who are also Nahdliyin. The President also mentioned his closeness to the 4th President KH Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur).

KH Abdurrahman Wahid, better known as Gus Dur, is the founder of PKB and an important figure in Nahdlatul Ulama (NU).

"I am comfortable in the midst of PKB. I am comfortable in the midst of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). I feel close to NU and PKB figures. I used to feel very close to Gus Dur in times of urgency, in times of great crisis, the Indonesian nation, NU always appeared as a savior and as a stabilizer," said President Prabowo in his speech during the 27th PKB Harlah reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 23.

Prabowo said Nahdlatul Ulama and PKB were always consistent with their attitude that prioritized moderate Islamic teachings and cool and peaceful Islamic teachings.

"Islam that can be accepted everywhere, because it is NU and PKB are always everywhere," continued the President.

Therefore, the President also expressed his gratitude for the invitation given to him to attend the peak of the PKB 27th Harlah commemoration tonight.

During the peak commemoration, the President also praised the content of the speech delivered by the 13th Vice President KH Ma'ruf Amin, who currently serves as Chairman of the PKB DPP Shura Council.

According to Prabowo, the content of Ma'ruf Amin's speech was short, but full of substance. In fact, Prabowo continued, many economic figures and experts often forget the importance of Article 33 of the Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia (UUD 45).

Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution consisting of four verses regulates the economic principles adopted by Indonesia, including: "The Earth and the natural resources contained in it are controlled by the state and used for the greatest prosperity of the people". Another paragraph regulated in Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution: "Production branches that are important for the state and those that control the livelihoods of the people are controlled by the state".

The two paragraphs in Article 33 of the 1945 Constitution are one of the issues that President Prabowo has raised quite often in several of his speeches.

"PKB, Nahdlatul Ulama behind me, the farmers here, the workers there, our friends," said President Prabowo in his speech.
