Russia Accuses Italy Of Discriminatory For Canceling Pro Putin Conductor Concert

JAKARTA - Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday accused Italy of discrimination and surrendered to the anti-Russian lobby after the classic music concert planned by Russia's well-known conductor, Valery Gergiev, was canceled.

Reported by Reuters on Wednesday, July 23, Gergiev, who leads Moscow's Bolshoi Theater and the Mariinsky St Theater. Petersburg, is scheduled to lead the Italian orchestra and soloists from Mariinsky at a concert near Napoli on July 27.

However, some Italian politicians and anti-Kremlin activists Ukraine and Russia, including the wife of the late Russian opposition politician Alexei Navalny, rejected the concert because of Gergiev's open support for President Vladimir Putin.

Reggia di Casar, masjid telapan hurama ke-18 yang seharusnya menjadi rumah konferi tersebut, mengumumkan acara tersebut telah dicandang. Tak ada penjelasan alasan alasan pemutusan konion musik.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova said the museum complex was under the jurisdiction of Italy's central authority.

Zakharova regrets the loss of the opportunity for Italian audiences to enjoy the great Russian music performed by a well-known Russian conductor.

"We strongly condemn the discriminatory 'cancel culture' efforts carried out by the Italian authorities," he said, accusing Roma of surrendering to pressure from Ukrainian nationalists.
