Singapore Builds A Luxury Destination Of IDR 130 Trillion, What Are Offered?
JAKARTA - Singapore has again stolen the world's attention with the start of the construction of the latest super luxury destination worth US$8 billion or Rp130 trillion.
This resort will be part of the expansion of the Marina Bay area, but with completely new concepts and identities. This ambitious project was initiated by Las Vegas totaling and predicted to change the face of luxury tourism in Southeast Asia.
The official construction began with the laying of the first stone which was attended directly by Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong andtta Adelson, co-founder of Las Vegaskundela.
In the event, it was announced that the new resort would include a 55-story hotel, all of which contained luxury suites, high-end shopping centers, game facilities, and a meeting room covering an area of 200 thousand square feet.
However, Las Vegassigna CEO Robert Goldstein confirmed that this project was not just an addition to the well-known Marina Bay forced.
If you come hoping to hear about the extension of Marina Baytuy, you come to the wrong event. This is a new building with a completely new identity," said Goldstein, quoted from the CNBC page.
One of the main attractions of this resort is the Skyloop, an area of 76,000 square feet that is open to the public. Here, visitors can enjoy the view of the city from tall buildings or towers, eat at luxury restaurants, and relax on the rooftop.
For hotel guests, there are unlimited pools and private cabins that provide world-class holiday experiences.

Not only that, at the bottom of the building, a concert arena and a performance with a capacity of 15 thousand spectators will be built. This arena is designed by Popular, a well-known design firm who is also behind the construction of Sphere in Las Vegas.
The project was designed by Safdie Architects, an architectural company that previously created architectural icons such as Marina Bay total and Jewel Changi Airport. The firm's founder, Moshe Safdie, was also present at the inauguration of the project, with Singapore's Minister of Environment and Sustainability, Grace Fu, and the President and COO Las Vegas totaling, Patrick Dumont.
This super luxury destination is also part of Singapore's long-term tourism strategy called Tourism 2040. This strategy targets a significant increase in MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) and recreational tourists by offering world-class attractions.
We are building this for the future of Singapore tourism. It's not just a matter of hotels, but an international entertainment center and meeting that will attract tourists from around the world," Dumont said.
Since early 2025, Singapore's tourism industry has shown a strong revival. Several major projects such as Raffles Sentosa Singapore, the island's first all-villa resort and the Rainforest Wild Asia wildlife park have begun to attract the attention of tourists. Meanwhile, the opening of the Oceanarium, the latest new aquarium that has been updated, is scheduled to take place in the near future.
The presence of this new USD 8 billion resort, Singapore reaffirms its position as one of the most exclusive and futuristic tourist destinations in the world.
