"I know a lot of you are worried because we haven't opened pre-orders or mentioned release dates. But today, I want to let you know that Borderlands 4 will be on Switch 2 on October 3," Pitchford said.

Pitchford also revealed that he himself has been trying to play the Nintendo Switch 2 console since its launch day.

According to him, the combination of console performance and portable flexibility makes the experience of playing Borderlands 4 more personal and mobile.
