Apple's IPhone Fold Screen Size Leaks, Smaller Than The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7

JAKARTA iPhone Fold leaks keep popping up even though the foldable phone made by Apple is predicted to enter the market next year. Now, the latest leak reveals the size of the phone screen.

According to Taiwanese research firm Trend Force, citing MacRumors reports, Apple's first iPhone Fold will use a 7.8-inch screen on the inside. Meanwhile, the outside will be 5.5 inches.

This screen size is most likely valid because Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple Supply Chain Analyst, briefly mentioned the same size. Kuo's similar screen size was revealed in March this year.

When compared to the recently released Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, the iPhone Fold size is much smaller. The foldable phone of Samsung measures 8 inches on its inside and 6.5 inches for the screen on its outside.

Judging from its size, the design approach of both devices may differ. From that size, Apple seems optimistic about combining screen sizes equivalent to iPad mini and iPhone mini.

The iPhone Fold is predicted to come in the second half of next year with a number of technologies specifically designed for foldable phones. Reportedly, this device will adopt a 'sprinkling' or folding line-free inner screen.

To achieve this design, Apple is expected to use a metal screen plate that is drilled by a laser. This technology can reduce pressure due to bending, reducing the folding problem on the screen.
