Having Vital Role For Real Madrid, Courtois Extends Two-Year Contract
JAKARTA - Thibaut Courtois has approved a new contract at Real Madrid which is valid until June 2027.
The Belgian goalkeeper's contract was previously supposed to expire in the summer of 2026.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper joined Real Madrid in 2018. Since then, he has strengthened his status as one of the world's most reliable goalkeepers, won two Champions League trophies and three La Liga titles.
Real Madrid's policy tends to extend players' contracts over the age of 30 regularly.
In Courtois's case, they have moved earlier to secure their future over the next two seasons, reflecting the importance of his role in the team.
