Ozzy Osbourne's Music Journey: From A Student Who Was Held To The Biggest Heavy Metal Singer In History

JAKARTA - Ozzy Osbourne has really made 'Back to the Beginning' a farewell concert. Not even a month since the show, the Dark Prince died at the age of 76 on Tuesday, July 22.

"With unquenched sadness, we inform you that Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He is with his family and surrounded by love," reads the family statement on the official Instagram account.

The family did not explain the cause of Ozzy's death, but it was discovered that the frontman Black Sabbath had been battling parkinson since 2019. The illness that suffered even made him have to appear on his side during a farewell concert with Black Sabbath.

Ozzy was born in Birmingham, England on December 3, 1948. Teenagers went through a tough time. He became a victim of bullying at school who later admitted that he had tried several suicides.

In the midst of his difficult teenage years, Ozzy finds his love of music. He was involved in several opera shows at school. At the age of 14, he began to love music after hearing Beatles songs.

The song She Loves You (1963) has an important role in Ozzy's musical journey. Through this song, he began to aspire to become a musician.

In 1967, Ozzy's musical journey really started. He was invited by Butler 'bassis Black Sabbath' to join the band Rare Breed. Together with his new band, Ozzy appeared twice, but they chose to disband.

Ozzy is back in touch withester in their new band, Polka Tunk Blues. This time, they joined Tony Iommi (guitar) and Bill Ward (drums) who had just disbanded from the band Mythology.

Polka Tunk Blues then changed its name to Earth, and changed its name again to Black Sabbath in August 1969. With his last name, Ozzy started his extraordinary musical journey as the greatest pioneer and heavy metal vocalist in history.

In a farewell concert with Black Sabbath, 'Back to the Beginning', which was held at Villa Park, Birmingham on July 5, Ozzy who appeared solo performing I Don't Know, Mr. Crowley, l Suicide Solution, Mama, Im Coming Home, and Crazy Train.

While in his appearance with Sabbath's initial personnel, he sang War Pigs, NIB, Iron Man, and Paranoid.
