Toyota At GIIAS 2025: Bring Urban Cruiser To BZ4X That Has Been Built Locally

PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) also took part in the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) which took place at ICE BSD City, Tangerang.

The Japanese giant introduced his newest electric car, the Toyota Urban Cruiser. President Director of PT TAM, Hiroyuki Ueda, said that this launch was a form of commitment in supporting efforts to penetrate electric vehicles (EVs) in the country.

"We are committed to creating a better future with Beyond Zero initiatives. At GIIAS we will show a new Battery EV model, Toyota Urban Cruiser," he said, at the launch, Wednesday, July 23.

Not only that, but Toyota also presents a New bZ4X that has been assembled in Cikarang. He revealed that New bZ4X will be easier to reach, as well as ensuring the optimal availability of spare parts for customers.

"This initiative not only reflects Toyota's commitment to providing inclusive mobility solutions, but also contributes to job creation, increasing national technology independence, and Indonesia's greener future development," he said.

More than that, specifically at GIIAS 2025, Toyota presents Crown FCEV, as a form of Toyota's initiative for the future of utilization of hydrogen in Indonesia.

All of these efforts, including the Crown FCEV unit, are part of Toyota's multipathway strategy, namely an approach that provides a wide selection of electrification technologies such as electric vehicle (HEV), plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), battery electric vehicle (BEV), and fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV).
