Transjakarta Adds Block MAncol Route, High-Deck Bus Immediately Operates
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Province will launch a new Transjakarta route Blok M-Ancol and preparations are currently being made.
"The governor's plan is to launch a service from Blok M to Ancol. In the near future, it is in preparation. This month," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Syafrin Liputo at Jakarta City Hall, Wednesday, July 23.
Syafrin explained that later the launch of the new route will also coincide with the planned operation of the "high-deck" electric bus.
Syafrin said, out of a total of 200 buses, 70 of the first high-deck buses would be launched in stages.
"So far, it's been 'low-deck', right? Well, this is him (Governor of DKI) going to launch a 'high-deck'," said Syafrin.
This new Transjakarta route is included in the section of the Transjabodetabek route launched by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.

The Transjabodetabek routes that have been launched include Blok M-Alam Sutera (S61), Vida Bekasi-Cawang (B41), PIK 2-Blok M (T31), Bogor-Blok M (P11), Sawangan-Lebak Bulus (D41) and Terminal Bekasi to Dukuh Atas via Becakayu Toll.
In addition, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government (Pemprov) is also targeting the entire fleet of electrified Transjakarta buses by 2030 to support the achievement of zero emissions (Net Zero Emission) by 2050.
