Meanwhile, Barcelona has so far shown no signs of taking a serious approach.
From several teams, it turned out that only Chelsea had contact with representatives of Xavi Simons on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 WIB.
This was leaked by European football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.
"Xavi Simons has opened the door for Chelsea as direct contact is back today with his agent."
"The inter-club talks will begin this Tuesday because Chelsea and RB Leipzig will discuss the terms of the deal for Xavi," wrote Romano.
While further negotiations are underway, the Blues must release several players. You see, an agreement with Xavi Simons is only possible if one of Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix, Raheem Sterling, and Nicholas Jackson leave Stamford Bridge.
"For Chelsea, this deal also relies on players who will leave because Nkunku, Joao Felix, Sterling, and Nico are likely to leave soon," wrote Romano.
Xavi Simons' contract remaining two years at RB Leipzig. The price tag could be under 70 million euros or IDR 1.3 trillion this summer with negotiations coming soon.
