The Song He Made Was Brought To The Peterpan Reunion, Ariel: No Permit

Nazril Irham or better known as his stage name, Ariel, gave full support for the Peterpan reunion concert which will be held in Eldorado, Bandung on August 31.

Ariel has confirmed that he will not appear in the concert. However, he also did not want to intervene. He released those who performed Lukman, Reza, Andika, and Indra to perform his songs.

"I don't really need permission from me, just pay it to the LMK," Ariel said when met in Gambir, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 22.

This is in line with Ariel's thoughts regarding the copyright of music. As Deputy Chairperson of the Indonesian Voice Vibration (VISION), he believes that permission to perform songs to creators in the context of music concerts is not necessary, as long as royalties are paid by organizers to the Collective Management Institute (LMK).

"Unless there is a change in the song 'the lyrics are changed or the order of the arrangement is changed. That's the moral right of name. It's included in the actual mechanical rights. It's usually (permission) directly to the creator or label," he said.

Full support is also given considering that the reunion concert can cure the longing of fans for Peterpan. Moreover, NOAH has been on hiatus since last year.

"But I really support it. It's like treating the cages of Peterpan fans. As long as NOAH hiatus, there is Peterpan, even though the vocalist is changing," he said. Hopefully it can treat their genes.

The NOAH frontman also mentioned the presence of collaborators 'Marcello 'Ello' Tahitoe, Tiara Anrini, Fiersa Besari, and Alexandra The' will give a new color for Peterpan's reunion concert.

"It's fun. There's Ello there and there's Tiara too. So, we can listen to Peterpan's song with a girl version," Ariel said.

"If the time is right, I want to see it," he concluded.
