Bank Sulutgo, BPD Owned By A Conglomerate Chairul Tanjung, Its Profits Ramped 26.9 Percent In The First Quarter Of 2021

JAKARTA - Profit from Bank Sulawesi Utara Gorontalo (BSG) in the first quarter of 2021 experienced a significant growth. Bank Sulutgo's profit achievement was able to reach 26.9 percent in that period.

"Until the first quarter of 2021, BSG managed to score a profit of Rp. 86.75 billion, which is an increase of 26.9 percent when compared to the same position last year of only Rp. 68.33 billion," said the Director of BSG, Revino Pepah, in Manado, quoted from Antara, Thursday May 6th.

Revino said BSG's gross profit achievement in the first quarter of 2021 was 147.05 percent of the RBB target of IDR 58.97 billion.

"So, profits grew by Rp18.37 billion from the target in the first quarter of 2021," he said.

He explained that with the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the public still trusted the North Sulawesi Regional Development Bank (BPD).

"We still maintain bank trust, public money can be managed properly, productive assets can create profit for the bank," he said.

He is optimistic that the 2021 profit target can be achieved. Especially if economic activity starts to revive, with the COVID-19 vaccination starting.

The bank, which is 24.90 percent owned by conglomerate Chairul Tanjung, will continue to provide the best service to customers and the public in North Sulawesi.

"We will try to get closer to the community, by continuing to improve the BSG digitization roadmap," he explained.
