Beguling Feast Festival 2025 Presents Balinese Culinary Enjoyment
JAKARTA - The culinary festival to serve Balinese food has been held for the first time in Pelatian Village, Ubud District, Gianyar, Bali, on 17 to 20 July 2025. The festival, called the Beguling Feast Festival (BFF), has successfully served the culinary and drink pride of the Balinese people.
Seperti diketahui, babi guling dan arak Bali merupakan warisan budaya dan telah diakui sebagai Warisan Budaya Takbenda (WBTB) oleh Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia. Dengan itu, BBF 2025 ini digelar dengan menggungkan tema "Honoring Roots, Celebrating Legacy".
The theme support aims to preserve, promote, and popularize Bali's culinary and cultural wealth to the national and international stage. The 2025 BFF performance is the result of collaboration between Puri Agung Pelatan, the Indigenous Village of Pelatan, and JA+ Creative.
"We made this festival as a form of celebration and effort to preserve the typical Balinese culinary wealth, especially the overthrow and Balinese wine which have become part of our cultural identity," said Founder of BFF 2025, Margaretha Tien in an official statement, Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
At this festival, three very attractive zones were presented, a mix of culinary, cultural, and entertainment. Starting from Beguling Village, which serves 14 typical Balinese and archipelago foods, as well as street and cultural arts performances.

Then there is Kampung Arak, which presents 8 Balinese wine craftsmen, arrack-based cocktail creation workshops, painting and sculpture exhibitions, as well as a stage for ceremonial and entertainment activities.
Then the third zone is Kampung Jajanan, which presents 20 tenants for snacks from Bali and the archipelago, complete with Beguling Live Cooking.
"We also want to reintroduce the wealth of Balinese performing arts such as the Legong, Kecak, and others, as part of a cultural identity that must be maintained and appreciated," he added.
Not only that, Margaretha hopes that the presence of the Beguling Feast Festival can further foster enthusiasm and a sense of love for the Nusantara culture and culinary. She also hopes that this festival can continue to be held and continue to inspire many people.
"Hopefully, through this festival, the spirit of togetherness and love for local culture can grow and inspire many people," concluded Margaretha.
