Apart From Tensions With Napoli, Osimhen Finally Moves Permanently To Galatasaray

JAKARTA - Napoli and Galatasaray have finally reached a full agreement for the permanent sale of Nigerian player, Victor Osimhen, after his very successful loan period in Istanbul during the 2024/2025 season.

Galatasaray has been working to sign Osimhen permanently after his successful loan period for the 2024/2025 season, in which he contributed 37 goals and eight assists from 41 appearances in all competitions.

Although Galatasaray agreed to pay a full release clause of 75 million euros in effect in Osimhen's contract in the first half of July 2025.

Negotiations have been protracted for several weeks, with disputes over the structure and installments involved in the deal. Napoli also demanded official guarantees for the payment.

Despite being tough, the agreement has finally been reached. Galatasaray will pay a full transfer fee of 75 million euros by the end of 2026.

From a transfer fee of 75 million euros, Napoli will receive 40 million euros upfront and the remaining 35 million euros will be paid by the end of 2026.

Partenopei juga berhak atas bonus hingga 5 juta euro dan akan mempertahankan clause penjualan kembali sebesar 10 persen.

In addition, the deal will also include an anti-Seerie A clause, which prevents it from joining one of Napoli's direct rivals for the next 24 months.

The agreement between Napoli and Galatasaray made Osimhen relieved. You see, the attacker's relationship with Partenopei was broken in the summer of 2024.

At that time, Napoli had reached an agreement with Al Expert. The Saudi Arabian Pro League club was willing to pay 40 million euros per year for Osimhen on a four-year contract.

However, the transfer failed when Napoli demanded an additional 5 million euros above 80 million euros offered by Al Expert, which caused the Saudi Arabian club to withdraw from negotiations.

As a result, Osimhen was furious. After seeing his transfer plan fail, he and his agents also called Napoli President Aurelio De Ruzis, and Sports Director Giovanni Manna.

Since then, he has spent his career as a loan player at Galatasaray despite his contract at Napoli until June 2026.
