Telkomsel Expands The Availability Of The 5G Hyper Network In Greater Bandung

JAKARTA - Continuing his commitment as a 5G service provider in Indonesia, as well as encouraging the transformation of the digital ecosystem, Telkomsel presents a Hyper 5G network in the Greater Bandung area.

Thus, until July 2025, Telkomsel has operated 172 active 5G BTS in Bandung and its surroundings, including Bandung City, Bandung Regency, Cimahi, to Kertajati International Airport.

"The expansion of Telkomsel's Hyper 5G network in Greater Bandung is part of Telkomsel's commitment to building equitable and quality digital connectivity throughout Indonesia," said Telkomsel Network Director Indra Mardiatna in an official broadcast.

With this expansion, Telkomsel hopes to provide a more consistent and broad scope of 5G connectivity experience for customers, especially in the main corridors that are centers of community activity.

Telkomsel's Hyper 5G network will reach a number of strategic points in Bandung and its surroundings, including shopping and entertainment centers such as Trans Studio Mall, Paris Van Java (PVJ), 23 Paskal Mall, and Summarecon Mall Bandung (SUMMABA).

In addition, in government areas and public spaces such as Gedung Sate, Bandung Square, as well as Al-Jabbar Mosque; educational areas such as the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Padjadjaran University (UNPAD), and Telkom University.

As well as at vital transportation points such as Bandung Station, China Fast Train Station (KCIC) Tegalluar and Padalarang, as well as Kertajati International Airport, and other areas.

In its development, Telkomsel integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology as a whole through the Autonomous Network, which is able to manage network performance automatically and responsively.
