MotoGP Argentina Hijrah To Buenos Aires Starting 2027
JAKARTA The MotoGP race in Argentina will move to Autodromo Oscar y Juan Galvez, a circuit located outside the capital city of Buenos Aires, starting in 2027.
Massive renovations to the circuit will take place from October 2025. A thorough work incorporating the latest technology will include tracks, pits, paddocks, and safety zones.
"We have held 10 Grand Prixs and nearly 30 years later we will return to being one of the world's leading circuits, such as Barcelona and Silverstone," said Buenos Aires Government Chief Jorge Macri.

This is not the first time the Galvez Circuit has held the most prestigious motorcycle race. Previously, this place hosted MotoGP races in the 1960s, 1980s, and 1990s.
So far, races in Argentina usually take place at the International Autodromo Termas De Rio Hondo, a circuit located at Termas de Rio Hondo, Santiago del Estero.
"With investment in infrastructure, security, logistics, and connectivity, we will increase the international standards of the venue," said Jorge.
OSD Group president, Orly Terranova, said that this is an important step for the City of Buenos Aires, which will certainly contribute greatly to the development of local sports and tourism.
"This is something that has been contested by several capitals in various countries, so I think this is important. This will have a major impact on the economy and tourism," he said.
Meanwhile, Carmelo Ezpeleta as CEO of Dorna Sports called this encouraging news for MotoGP and for fans in Argentina and Latin America.
"This is an amazing place and puts us close to the heart of the city of Buenos Aires, which will be the flagship locations not only at the national and continental levels, but also globally," he said.
