Komdigi Prepares Digital Connectivity And Training For The Transformation Of The Red And White Kopdes

JAKARTA - To encourage the transformation of the village economy, the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi) has built the foundation of modern cooperatives based on data and connectivity infrastructure.

The initiative was realized through support for the Red and White Village Cooperative (KDMP) which combines high-speed internet connections with tiered digital training for village cooperative managers.

"This support runs collaboratively with the local digital community and the regional communication office to suit the needs of each village," said Meutya in her official broadcast.

The Ministry of Communication and Industry also implements data-based strategies by routinely mapping regions. For example, in Klaten Regency, all 379 villages and 26 sub-districts have been connected to the fiber optic network and Optical Distribution Point (ODP).

4G network coverage reaches 100 percent in residential areas, without any villages categorized as blankspots. The average internet speed in the region reaches 38.16 Mbps for downloads and 19.03 Mbps for uploads.

To maintain service quality, Komdigi will routinely conduct network audits to anticipate a surge in traffic and increase in data needs.

In an effort to strengthen the digitization of cooperatives, the Ministry of Communication and Industry has started coordination with the Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) to integrate the Digitalent Academy's digital training platform by the Ministry of Communication and Digigi with the cooperative super apps being developed.

"We are not only focused on training, but also on developing a digital ecosystem that facilitates the modern and participatory management of cooperatives," said Meutya.
