The Attorney General's Office Asks The KPK To Coordinate On The Examination Of The Mandailing Natal Kajari
The Attorney General's Office (AGO) has asked the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to communicate regarding the plan to examine the Head of the Mandailing Natal District Attorney's Office, North Sumatra, Muhammad Iqbal.
The inspection plan is known to be related to the alleged bribery case for road construction projects at the PUPR Service and PJN Satker Region 1 North Sumatra.
"Communication and coordination with the Attorney General's Office," said Head of the AGO, Anang Supriatna to VOI, Tuesday, July 22.
According to him, the form of coordination between the AGO and the KPK has been very good so far. Thus, it is hoped that there will be coordination from the anti-corruption agency regarding the inspection plan.
"So far, we have had a good relationship with the KPK," said Anang.
Meanwhile, Kajari Mandailing Natal, Muhammad Iqbal should have been questioned by KPK investigators as a witness to the alleged bribery of road construction projects at the PUPR Service and PJN Satker Region 1 North Sumatra on Friday, July 18.
However, it was canceled because there was no permit to ask for information from the Attorney General's Office regarding the examination process.
"Yesterday, an investigation was not carried out," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo
Apart from Iqbal, KPK investigators also did not examine Gomgoman Halomoan Simbolon as Head of the Civil and State Administration Section (Datun) of the Mandailing Natal Kejari.
"Later, if further information is needed, a further examination will be carried out, a summons will be made to the person concerned," said Budi.
As previously reported, the KPK held a hand arrest operation (OTT) in the North Sumatra region on Thursday, June 26. It is suspected that money was given in the road construction project in the province.

They are Effendi Siregar's Rasul as the Head of the Old Mountain UPTD of the North Sumatra Province PUPR Service concurrently the Commitment Making Officer (PPK); Heiyanto as PPK PJN Satker Region I North Sumatra Province; M. Akhirun Efendi Siregar as the President Director of PT DNG; and M. Rayhan Dulasmi Pilang as Director of PT RN.
The Typhoon was in the spotlight because it was inaugurated as the Head of PUPR on February 24 by the Governor of North Sumatra Bobby Nasution. He previously served as Head of the Public Works Service or the Department of Water Resources, Highways and Construction Development of Medan City and had served as Acting (Plt) of the Medan City Secretary when the son-in-law of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia sat as Mayor of Medan.
