Badanas Ensures Food In The Red And White Kopdes Is Affordable And Quality Prices Guaranteed
JAKARTA - Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas), Arief Prasetyo Adi, said that the presence of the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes Merah Putih) is very important in the transformation of national food management.
This was conveyed after accompanying President Prabowo Subianto at the launch of the program in Klaten, Central Java, Monday, July 21. Through this cooperative, the public can access basic food at affordable prices and quality insurance.
"The National Food Agency supports the Red and White Kopdes by ensuring that the Basic Food Outlets can provide various staple foods needed by the community. The price is more affordable because it does not exceed the government's provisions," said Arief in his statement.
Arief said, products such as SPHP rice, premium rice from SOEs, MinyaKita, to chicken eggs will be available at Kopdes outlets. He also appealed to the public to immediately report any irregularities in quality or inappropriate food doses.
"Starting from SPHP rice, premium rice for SOE products, Minya Kita to chicken eggs, people can get it here. If there is an inappropriate dose or quality of food products, immediately report it. If the Kopdes outlet is like this, it will be easier to trace," he continued.
Furthermore, Bapanas is committed to providing easy access to food distribution to village cooperatives, including as outlets for distribution of SPHP rice as well as other food assistance.
During 2024, the government has distributed 1.9 million tons of rice food assistance and 1.4 million tons of SPHP rice. Especially for 2025, the initial realization of the SPHP program which began in July has reached 182.200 tons.

"The Red and White Village Cooperative is a bridge between production and consumption. This is where the role of the people, farmers, fishermen, food MSME players, is placed in the food ecosystem center," said Arief.
Arief added that this cooperative will become an important node in maintaining supply stability and prices at the local level. With shorter and more controlled supply chains, farmers can be protected when prices fall and consumers are not burdened when prices soar. "The principle of food must be available, affordable and fair," he said.
