Down, SKK Migas Targets LNG Exports This Year Only 150 Cargo

JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) projects that the export of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in 2025 will only reach 150 cargoes.

Deputy for Finance and Commercialization of SKK Migas, Kurnia Chairi said, for domestic use, it is estimated that there are 86 cargoes.

"The data I received was approximately 150 cargo exports and the domestic is 86 cargoes. That's about it," he told the media in Jakarta, Monday, July 21.

Kurnia said that this projection is likely to continue to grow in the second half of 2025 considering that this number is only an initial estimate.

"Later we will rearrange it in the second semester to see if the 150 projections still allow something to be diverted to domestic or the schedule is diverted. It's a bit dynamic," he explained.

Kurnia further said, during the first semester of 2025, SKK Migas managed to make sales of 15 cargoes of fast cargo or domestic cargo spots.

Meanwhile, LNG production in 2025 is estimated at 237.8 cargoes with details of 53.8 cargoes originating from Bontang in East Kalimantan and 184 cargoes from Tangguh facilities.

"About 53.8 cargoes of Bontang, and 184 cargoes of Tangguh," he said.
