Diaz Wants To Leave For Bayern Munich, Gayung Welcomes Even Though He's Tough

Luis Diaz remains determined to leave Liverpool during the summer transfer market. He hopes Bayern Munich will make a new offer in the coming days to convince the Merseyside club.

Die Roten did make the Colombian player the main target to fill the wing post.

The problem is, Bayern Munich's negotiations with Liverpool were tough. The Reds have rejected the Bundesliga club's initial offer of 67.5 million euros or around Rp1.28 trillion.

Diaz's wish to leave for the Bundesliga giant is actually still open. According to ESPN, Bayern Munich is preparing a new offer of around 70 million euros or approximately IDR 1.3 trillion plus bonuses.

Diaz still has a remaining two-year contract with Liverpool, who has tried to extend his contract, but failed.

The attacker had his most productive season with Liverpool for the 2024/2025 season, scoring 17 goals to help them win the Premier League title.

However, at the age of 28, he had decided to leave. He has also explained this to Liverpool officials several times about his intentions.

Bayern Munich is Diaz's goal, but Liverpool are not flexible so far. However, with more than a month left before the transfer window closes, the English club is expected to lower their stance at some point.

If Die Roten continued to fail to bring Diaz with a second offer, they would immediately turn away. Currently, Bayern Munich already has an alternative, namely Malick Fofana, on the short list of new wingers.

The difficulty of negotiating with Liverpool as Bayern Munich is currently facing has been felt by Barcelona.

Initially, Diaz hoped to continue his career at Barcelona because the Catalan club considered him the ideal recruiter to complete Lamine Yamal and Raphina in attack.

Barcelona made an offer of around 65 million pounds or around Rp1.43 trillion to sign Luis Diaz, but after Liverpool refused, they decided to look for another alternative.

As a result, the Blaugrana quickly completed the recruitment of Marcus Rashford on loan as an alternative, after failing to bring in Nico Williams from the Athletic Club.
