Andy Byron's Intimacy And Her Affair At The Coldplay Concert, Psychologist Reveals Infidelity Between Colleagues
JAKARTA - Not long ago, a viral video of a couple making out at the Coldplay concert, which turned out to be an affair. In the video, they seemed to hug but when the camera focused on the two immediately avoided it.
The moment was busy on social media and it was finally discovered that the two were colleagues who were having an affair. The man is the CEO of Astronomers, Andy Byron, and the woman is the Chief People Officer of Astronomers, Kristin Cabbot.
With Andy and Kristin's viral affair, conversations related to infidelity with co-workers are now busy on social media. Couple psychologist Kathy Nickerson, PhD, said that throughout her career he often faced infidelity with co-workers.
Kathy said that infidelity with co-workers could occur because it was considered a solution to release inner pressure, relieve emotional pain, especially at work.
"What I witnessed during 25 years of practice shows that in general infidelity serves as a cure for emotional pain to escape deep inner pressure," said Kathy, quoted from Self, on Monday, July 21, 2025.
According to partner therapist in Los Angeles, Patrice Le Goy, PhD, LMFT says that infidelity with co-workers is clich-related and so common. There are several factors that make the affair happen, one of which is the comfort factor.

Starting from feeling comfortable, then developing into something more intimate. It is also influenced by the sense of togetherness that is established because it experiences stress in the same work.
"This is called the effect of closeness, we are attracted to people we meet more often, which is why familiarity and comfort can quickly develop into something more intimate," explained Nickerson.
However, these reasons cannot justify the affair that occurred. According to the two experts, infidelity is also a short-term temptation, which could risk hurting a real partner and endangering a career, so it is not an option to do so.
