Police Arrest 13 Attackers Of Parking Officers At DKT Hospital, 7 Still Students

Bengkulu arrested 13 members of a motorcycle gang after carrying out an attack on parking attendants of the Bengkulu City Army Health Detachment (DKT) Hospital.

A total of 13 members of the motorcycle gang, seven of whom are junior high school (SMP) students, and high school (SMA) equivalent in Bengkulu City.

"We have secured 13 people since last night until this morning. Their status is still in the process of being investigated," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bengkulu Police, AKP Sujud Alif Yulam Lam, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, July 21.

The S13 motorcycle gang is currently still undergoing intensive examination by investigators at the Bengkulu Police Headquarters.

During the arrest, the Bengkulu Police also confiscated a number of evidences allegedly used in the attack and violence.

"For example, one log of wood with a length of one meter, a sword with a length of 50 centimeters, a lehdek, one machete with a length of 35 centimeters, two 8 cm long nails wrapped in a blue rapia rope, and one black flag with officialmastery words," he said.

Subjud explained the motive for the attack carried out by the perpetrators was because they were part of a motorcycle gang group and his party was still investigating the background and main triggers of the brutal action.

"For the time being, we suspect this is related to the activities of motorcycle groups, but we are still exploring the exact motive through the examination of these 13 people," he said.

Previously, a motorcycle gang group in Bengkulu attacked a parking attendant at the Bengkulu City DKT Hospital in Timur Indah Village on Sunday (20/7) in the morning at around 02.30 WIB.

In the attack, the victim, Indra, a resident of Kembang Seri District, Central Bengkulu Regency, suffered serious injuries and had to be hospitalized.

The attack was caught on CCTV cameras and motorcycle gangs, which are estimated to be 20 people, are still teenagers.

The chronology of the attack occurred when the victim was sitting in front of the exit gate post, suddenly the perpetrators came carrying various sharp weapons attacking (hit and stabbed) the victim and some even threw bottles of alcohol.

"Last night we were chatting, suddenly they came here to attack us. They brought samurai, sickles and other sharp weapons too, bro. They were also drunk because they threw us with bottles of alcohol," said one of the witnesses, Ahmad.
