Lanny/Fadia Withdrawn From China Open 2025

JAKARTA The women's doubles Lanny Tria Mayasari/Siti Fadia Silva Ramadhanti are confirmed to be absent at the 2025 China Open, the last BWF Super 1000 level tournament this year.

The women's doubles coach, Karel Mainaky, in a statement to the media said that the couple was withdrawn from the prestigious event because Fadia was sick.

"Fadia told me he didn't feel well the morning before the quarter-finals (Japan Open 2025 last week), but he still wanted to play," said Karel.

Lanny/Fadia, who contributed one of two titles for Indonesia in the 2025 BWF World Tour calendar, returned home in the quarter-finals of the Japan Open 2025.

They managed to force the rubber game against the first seeded pair from China, namely Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning.

"After that match, Fadia's condition worsened. There was a fever, a headache, and a sore throat," said Karel.

The absence of Lanny/Fadia makes Indonesian women's doubles only will rely on Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi.

The China Open 2025 will take place on July 22-27, 2025 at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium, Changzhou, China. The Championship offers a total prize of US$2,000,000 or equivalent to Rp32.6 billion.
