Failed To Beat Mario Barrios, Manny Pacquiao Intends To Fight Again
JAKARTA The legendary boxer from the Philippines, Manny Pacquiao failed to score a win in his comeback after four years of absence. The boxer, nicknamed Pacman, was only able to score a draw in a 12-round duel against Mario Barrios, at MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Sunday morning WIB (20/7).
Not only failing to win, Pacquiao also failed to win the WBC welterweight belt from Barrios, a Mexican-blooded US boxer. But Pacquiao has not given up even though he is no longer young, 46 years old. He wants a rematch, to resolve his curiosity.
"I've tried hard to attack him, but Mario is very tough. My point is to finish the fight sooner and fail. He is able to attack and defend well," Pacquiao said, quoted by Philstar.com.
In terms of age and posture, Pacquiao and Barrios are like earth and the sky. If Pacquiao is 46 years old, Barrios has just entered his 30th anniversary. From the physical side, Barrios is 183 cm tall and also looks towering compared to Pacquiao's 169 cm.

"Of course I want to fight again. This match has a big added value for the world of boxing. I am happy the day I will have a rematch," said Pacquiao again.
At a young age, Pacquiao is already much different from when he was at his peak. His movement was not as narrow as before, making him easily beaten by Barrios. His attack also seemed to be often delayed, so Barrios had rushed to build a defense.
The final result of the world boxing match led by referee Thomas Taylor showed 114-114 from the assessment of two judges, Team Cheatam and Steve Weisfeld. Meanwhile, Marc DeLuca gave Barrios a 115-113 victory.
Pacquiao, who is a former world champion in seven different classes, is currently making a record 62-8-3 (39 KOs). Meanwhile Barrios has a record 29-2-2 (18 KOs).
