Deputy Governor Rano explained the importance of residents' preparedness in dealing with potential fires. He invites all RTs and RWs in Jakarta to optimize the use of Light Fire Extinguishing Equipment (APAR), as well as routinely checking electrical installations, especially in boarding houses and places of business.
"Most of the fires that occurred in Jakarta were caused by electrical short circuits and our own negligence. For example, the use of excessive stop contacts to charge electronic devices without being revoked. This could cause excessive heat and trigger a fire. Let's learn from this incident and together prevent similar fires from happening again," he said.
