Ahead Of The Launch Of The Red And White Kopdes, ID FOOD Ensures Safe Food Product Supply

JAKARTA - Ahead of the official launch of the Red and White Village Cooperative (Kopdes), the Food SOE Holding ID FOOD ensures that food product supply readiness to all village cooperative networks is safe.

For your information, the Red and White Kopdes will be inaugurated on Monday, July 21, 2025 by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, involving a number of ministries and institutions as well as BUMN actors.

ID FOOD President Director Ghimoyo said this step was taken to support the smooth distribution of people's food and strengthen the national food ecosystem based on village cooperatives.

Ghimoyo said the distribution of products such as rice, consumption sugar, cooking oil, salt, flour, seeds, meat, and other strategic foodstuffs had gone according to plan.

"We have carried out intensive coordination with KDMP and logistics partners to ensure that food products arrive on time and are in the best condition. This is part of the ID FOOD commitment to support food security from the village," he said, in Jakarta, Sunday, July 20.

Ghimoyo also ensured that ID FOOD as the parent company of food SOEs prepared full support starting from the production, packaging, to distribution to ensure the availability of products to be sold through KDMP.

"In the early stages, ID FOOD has tap in on 107 Village Cooperatives from 109 village cooperatives that will serve as a pilot. These cooperatives are scattered throughout the province. In the future, this number will continue to grow," he explained.

Through The Strict Quality Control Process

Ghimoyo ensured that the supply of food products sent to cooperatives had gone through a strict quality control process. His party also prepared cold chain facilities such as freezers and chillers at a number of locations in the Red and White Kopdes to maintain the quality of food products such as meat and fish to stay fresh.

"We want to ensure that every food product received by the village community through this cooperative is safe, nutritious, and affordable," he said.

Furthermore, Ghimoyo hopes that the launch of the Red and White Kopdes can be an important momentum in creating a more fair, efficient, and directly touching food distribution model for grassroots communities.

"We believe, through strong cooperatives, villages can be independent in terms of food and economy," said Ghimoyo.

According to him, the readiness to launch the Red and White Kopdes is also a tangible form of SOE synergy and villages in responding to the challenges of food inflation, distribution equity, and maintaining market balance.

"For this reason, ID FOOD is here not only as a supplier, but also a village development partner," said Ghimoyo.
