Immigration Polewali Mandar Beware Of Foreigners Violating Rules
JAKARTA - The Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office Polewali Mandar West Sulawesi Province held an Alert Wira operation to detect early and prevent potential immigration violations by foreign nationals (WNA) in the area.
"This operation is an important momentum to ensure that foreigners in our area have complete documents and carry out activities in accordance with the permits given," said Head of the Class II Non-TPI Immigration Office Polewali Mandar Heryanu as quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, July 20.
The Wira Alert operation, which was held simultaneously throughout Indonesia on July 15-16, 2025, is an initiative from the Directorate General of Immigration in an effort to strengthen supervision of the presence and activities of foreigners throughout the country.
In addition, this is an effort to prevent immigration violations and law enforcement in order to maintain national stability and security.
In the working area of the Class II Non-TPI Polewali Mandar Immigration Office, the operation was carried out in Polewali Mandar Regency by combing the location points where foreigners' activities such as shelters, hotels/infiltrations, business premises and tourist attractions were targeted for inspection.
During the activity, the Polewali Mandar Immigration Office team conducted a thorough examination of foreign travel documents and residence permits.
"If violations are found, action will be taken in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 6 of 2011 concerning Immigration," said Heryanu.

Operation Wira Waspada continued Heryanu, is also a form of commitment from the Directorate General of Immigration in maintaining national stability and security, as part of the responsibility in the implementation of the immigration control function and supporting the creation of a conducive situation in the community.
"We will continue to strengthen synergies with relevant agencies in the context of ongoing surveillance of foreigners through forums for foreign surveillance teams (Timpora) and other routine operations," said Heryanu.
