Bogor City DPRD Holds Media Gathering, Affirms Commitment to Oversee Development and Ensure Information Transparency
BOGOR — The Bogor City Regional People's Representative Council (DPRD) held a Media Gathering event as a form of public information disclosure and a commitment to legislative transparency. The event, held on Thursday, June 5, was attended by several DPRD leaders and members, including DPRD Chairman Adityawarman Adil, Deputy Chairman I M. Rusli Prihatevy, Chairman of the Honorary Board (BK) Safrudin Bima, Chairman of Commission III Heri Cahyono, Deputy Chair of Commission I Hj. Hakana, and Secretary of Commission IV Juhana.
In his opening remarks, DPRD Chairman Adityawarman reiterated the council's full support for the Bogor City Government in realizing the Regional Long-Term Development Plan (RPJPD) and the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD).
“Right now, our focus is on building Bogor City together to achieve the RPJPD and RPJMD goals,” Adit stated in front of the media.
He also expressed appreciation for the press, acknowledging its active role in monitoring the DPRD’s performance. According to him, the media plays a strategic role as the fifth pillar of democracy.
“For us, the media is a strategic partner. The DPRD’s functions in budgeting, oversight, and legislative drafting would not be effective without the support of our media colleagues,” he added.
On the same occasion, Deputy Chairman I M. Rusli Prihatevy presented the DPRD’s achievements over the past 10 months. One notable accomplishment was a budget efficiency measure of IDR 30 billion, carried out in response to Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No. 1 of 2025.
“This efficiency was redirected to priority sectors such as education, healthcare, and infrastructure. We also completed the audit review of the 2024 fiscal year by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK),” Rusli said.
He further mentioned that the DPRD would soon begin deliberations on the 2025 Revised Regional Budget (APBD-P). One urgent program to be funded is the land acquisition for road construction in the Batu Tulis area, which was affected by a landslide earlier this year.
“God willing, this will be included in the revised budget discussion as it needs to be resolved quickly,” he stated.
Rusli also highlighted the enthusiasm of the newly inaugurated 2024–2029 DPRD members. Despite being new to the role, he noted that they had already shown initiative by leading discussions on draft regional regulations (Raperda) through special committees (Pansus).
“This is a positive sign. Over the next year, we’re targeting the completion of 13 Raperda, and God willing, we will accomplish that,” he concluded.
During the event, each commission representative also delivered reports on their oversight activities from the past two legislative sessions and presented their work plans for the third session of the 2025 legislative year.
