Police General In South Africa Accuses Minister Of Involvement With Criminal Group
JAKARTA - The statement of a police officer with the rank of general has rocked the South African government and attracted sympathy from many people. He said there had been organized crime groups protected by President Cyril Ramaphosa's government.
The police general is named Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi. He mentioned that the Minister of Police, Senzo Mchunu, has a relationship with a criminal gang. He bravely said that his boss had closed the door to an investigation into the political murder that occurred and found a drug cartel that could freely enter the business sector and prison department.
"We are in combat mode, I am taking criminals live," he said, in a speech broadcast live on national TV earlier this month.

One of the most famous cases is South Africa's longest-serving police chief, Jackie Selebi, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison in 2010 after being convicted of accepting bribes from an Italian drug chief, Glen Agliotti, in exchange for turning a blind eye to his criminal activities.
Reporting from the BBC, this is unprecedented. A police general bravely accused a cabinet member, let alone one in charge of the police, of having ties to a criminal gang. Hearing these accusations, Mchunu immediately denied it and was ready to respond to the alleged baseless accusations. But unfortunately, the police officer has been surrounded by all people in South Africa.
#HandsoffNhlanhlaMkhwanazi topped the trend list on X, warning the government not to touch the 52-year-old.
He [sees as] a baseless person taking a bull with a horn, Calvin Rafadi, a South African University-based criminal expert, told the BBC.
