Prohibited From Going Home In 2021, 414,774 Vehicles Leaving Jabodetabek
JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk recorded that up to D-1 before the Eid 2021 homecoming ban, as many as 414,774 vehicles left the Jabotabek area.
Corporate Communication & Community Development Group Head of PT Jasa Marga Dwimawan Heru said this figure was the cumulative traffic flow (traffic) from several Barrier / Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikupa GT (West direction), Ciawi GT (South direction), and GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (east direction).
"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area has increased by 8.9 percent compared to normal traffic," Heru said in a written statement received in Jakarta, reported by Antara, Thursday, May 6.
For the distribution of traffic leaving Jakarta from the three directions, namely the majority of 193,698 vehicles heading East, 133,191 vehicles heading West, and 87,885 vehicles heading South.
As for the details of the distribution of traffic to the east, namely at GT Cikampek Utama, with a total of 110,975 vehicles leaving Jakarta, an increase of 36 percent from normal traffic. Then in Kalihurip Utama GT, with a total of 82,723 vehicles leaving Jakarta, an increase of 8.8 percent from normal traffic.
The total number of vehicles leaving Jakarta heading East was 193,698, an increase of 23 percent from normal traffic.
Meanwhile, the details of the distribution of traffic leaving Jakarta towards the West via the Cikupa GT Tangerang-Merak Toll Road amounted to 133,191 vehicles, a decrease of 1.5 percent from normal traffic.
Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jakarta heading south / local via the Ciawi GT Jagorawi toll road was 87,885 vehicles, a decrease of 0.4 percent from normal traffic.
During the period of eliminating the Idul Fitri 1442 H homecoming from 6 to 17 May 2021, Jasa Marga appealed to the Domestic Travel Operators (PPDN) for excluded categories such as logistics distribution service vehicles, work / service needs, sick family visits, family visits, pregnant women ( accompanied by 1 family member) and the need for childbirth to be able to complete the required documents, including the Exit and Entry Permit (SIKM) and negative results of RT-PCR tests max 3x24 hours / negative results ts Rapid Antigen max 2x24 hours / negative results Genose C19 before departure.
In addition, Jasa Marga appealed to anticipate trips before entering toll roads. Ensure that vehicles and drivers are in prime condition, adhere to health protocols (use masks, wash hands, keep your distance and stay away from crowds) while in a rest area, fill up fuel and have an adequate balance of electronic money.
