The Ministry Of MSMEs Facilitates Financing Access For Batu City Entrepreneurs, East Java

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through the Deputy for Entrepreneurship facilitates 100 selected MSME entrepreneurs in Batu City, East Java, to gain access to inclusive, fair and sustainable financing, as a tangible manifestation of financial inclusion, towards the target of an entrepreneurial ratio of 3.1 percent by 2025.

Deputy for Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of MSMEs Siti Azizah said the Ministry of MSMEs wants to ensure that financing is not only enjoyed by those who are large and well-established, but also evenly for micro businesses, beginners, the younger generation, to community-based businesses.

"This is a tangible manifestation of our joint financial inclusion mission towards the national entrepreneurship ratio target of 3.1 percent by 2025, 3.6 percent by 2029, and 8 percent by 2045, as mandated by RPJMN 2025 2045 and RPJMN 2025 2029," said Deputy for Entrepreneurship at the Ministry of MSMEs Siti Azizah quoted on Saturday, July 19.

Siti Azizah explained that through a collaboration-based ecosystem approach, this event aims to answer real challenges that have hampered the growth of MSMEs.

"The lack of financial literacy, the lack of capacity to compile appropriate financial reports, and the lack of optimal use of digital technology in business are current entrepreneurial challenges," said Siti Azizah.

For this reason, the Ministry of MSMEs collaborates with various parties to bring together MSME entrepreneurs with a financing support ecosystem, ranging from banks including Bank Jatim, BSI, BRI, non-bank institutions such as the Government Investment Center (PIP), to business support collaborators such as PLUT KUMKM Batu, Grab Indonesia, Mebiso, Qasir.id, Rayspeed Logistics, and the Above Hand Community (TDA).

"In addition to bringing together the financing support ecosystem, we also encourage the transformation of MSMEs in a sustainable manner by providing training on the digitization of MSMEs, developing strong brand identities, to increasing sustainable business and resilience to global market dynamics," said Siti Azizah.

This activity, said Azizah, is expected to increase the competitiveness of the Batu City MSMEs as well as make a real contribution to local economic growth, creating quality employment opportunities, and community welfare.

"Inclusive finance is not just charity, but empowerment. Let's make sure entrepreneurs advance to class, are professional, and are able to transform from informal to formal, from survival to growth," said Siti Azizah.
